Simple tips to help you get the best results, save money, and know your options for larger sizes.
Know your printer’s limit
Most home printers can print up to 8.5 × 11 inches (letter size) on a single sheet.
Printing 12 × 18 or 24 × 36?
Most standard home printers cannot print 12 × 18 or 24 × 36 on one sheet. Some wide-format home/office printers can print 12 × 18. For 24 × 36, use a large-format printer or professional print service.
Use the right settings
For best results, choose Color, set quality to Best or High Quality, and select Fit to Page if needed.
Choose the right paper
Use standard copy paper for testing. For display, try heavier matte or presentation paper for a more professional look.
Need full-size printing?
For 12 × 18, 24 × 36, or other large sizes, choose a wide-format home/office printer where appropriate, or use a local print shop or online printing service.
Print a lot at home?
Refillable ink can make frequent home printing much cheaper. These options focus on lower running costs for regular printing.
